Submit to have your event included in Spring Gold Rush! Deadline is November 14th!

Gold Rush is UNC Charlotte’s welcome program to kick off each semester! Both new and returning students are invited to experience Niner Pride, learn about traditions, and discover resources on campus. Gold Rush takes place at the beginning of each fall and spring semester.
Gold Rush events are not required, however, you are strongly encouraged to check out at least one event. These events are meant to be engaging and impactful. Many events even have free swag or snacks!
Gold Rush events are a great way to learn about campus in a way that is fun and informative! You can even win prizes just for attending Gold Rush events! Make sure to take photos of yourself at the events and check in if the host is taking attendance!
Good news, all Gold Rush events are FREE! We want all Niners to have access. All Niners can join in on the fun!
Student Orgs Showcase - Learn more about the more than 300 active clubs and organizations and how to get involved with them!
Gold Rush Resource Fair - Get acclimated and introduced to campus departments and the services/resources available to you. Learn what is here for you!
Group Fitness Sampler - Not sure about Group Fitness classes? Come check out UREC’s 20 minute demos of each Group Fitness class and find your fit, plus a t-shirt!
Transfer Student Tee-Shirt Give-a-way - Attention Transfer Students! The University Transfer Center wants to welcome you to Charlotte by giving you a new tee-shirt so you can promote and rep your new school!
The full schedule of events can be found through our website. You can also find events on Niner Engage with the Gold Rush label (ninerengage.charlotte.edu) or on our Instagram @clt_belong.
The beginning of the semester may feel overwhelming or intimidating, even for returning students. Gold Rush events are a place to experience Niner Pride and have some fun. In the process, you’ll find campus resources and maybe even free swag or snacks! But don’t just take our word for it…
“I was worried about making friends my first semester but having opportunities to meet other students at events like Gold Rush made it feel less intimidating. Plus who doesn't love free stuff?” – UNC Charlotte student
