Frequently Asked Questions

Fall Family Weekend 2025 will take place September 12-14. Planning for Fall Family Weekend is underway! Events and information will be updated over the summer.

We welcome alumni, parents, guardians, supporters, and all family members of all current UNC Charlotte students. Your student is encouraged to attend Family Weekend events with you as well!

Priority Registration for Family Weekend opens on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. General Registration opens on Monday, August 11, 2025. Registration will take place on the 49er Family Hub.

Unfortunately, you are unable to register over the phone. Registration is required online through your 49er Family Hub account.

Not all Family Weekend events require advance registration. It’s generally just for events that have a capacity limit or where food is involved. If you want to attend an event that’s on the schedule but not on the registration, you can just show up!

You can purchase your Family Weekend t-shirt on the 49er Family Hub when registration opens! There will also be a limited quantity of shirts available for purchase at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on campus during Family Weekend.

Yes, the Alumni Tailgate, the football game, and the Legacy Lunch all require a pre-purchased ticket to attend the events.

Yes! The Charlotte 49ers will be playing Monmouth in the Jerry Richardson Stadium on Saturday, September 12 at 6pm.

Would you like to sit with your student during the Family Weekend football game?

  • If yes, you can purchase your ticket for the student section (open seating) during your Family Weekend registration on the 49er Family Hub. Discounted ticket sales will begin in early August.
  • If not, you can purchase General Public tickets from the Athletics Office

If you opt to purchase general admission tickets, then your tickets will be in the student section of the stadium along with your student’s free ticket. As this is open seating you may sit with whomever you like in the General Admission Section.

If you purchase reserved seat tickets (students included), then you will be assigned a row and seat numbers for each ticket in your order.  We will not be able to add additional reserved seating together for separate orders.

Charlotte students are able to enter into the game for FREE, as long as they have their MobileID cards readily available. Their free admission tickets allow them to sit in the Student/General Admission section. Please note the student/general admission section is open seating.

A seating chart is available for view here.

All football tickets will be sent digitally via email as either Print-at-Home or mobile delivery. If you have questions about your football tickets, please reach out to the Charlotte Athletics Ticket Office by calling (704) 687-4949 or by email at niner@charlotte.edu.
